week 8/8-8/12

Welcome back!!!  Summer flew by--now the kids are taller, tanner, and hopefully ready to come back to school!!

I try to write my blog by Friday for the following week.  I list anything coming up in the next couple of weeks, and I list day by day, subject by subject what we will be covering.  Of course, things don't always go as planned so be flexible.  Your child should be writing in there planner everything we will be doing that day---I write it all on the board.  This is the first thing they should do after unpacking their backpack and putting their books away.

The states and capitals are the first big project for everyone.  They will randomly draw a state and will have to put an information board together.  They will receive a handout that lists everything required for their board.  Please post it on your refrigerator so it does not get lost.

Each week they will need to memorize a region of the U.S. --and a test will follow.
